    Welcome to our class Website!

About the teacher in room 223.
    My name is Mrs. Lynne Roeske and this is my 19th year teaching
at North End.  I'm a graduate of Winona State University and the
University of Minnesota with post-graduate studies through Hamline University.  I enjoy family activities with my husband and three daughters and one son-in-law--along with our Westie puppy!  Please feel free to contact            me with any concerns or questions.  We are on the same team, and I             look forward to working with you and your child.  Thank you for your continued support.

Homework Policy
    Homework:  Sent home daily, Mon.-Fri.  Please work with your child  on
          Math Homelinks which explain the day's math lesson. The answers                    for  Math Homelink homework are sent home with the parent intro-                   ductory Unit Report.  A language/writing assignment is also sent home.
          Please check and sign your child's Student Planner and send it back.
    Spelling:  Pretest and Weekly skills packet on Mon.  Final test and
          packet due on Friday.
    Read at home every day and return Read and Respond Form to SFA
         teacher weekly.
    Read and write book report on 3 books every month to reach
         25-Book expectations.

Special Activities
    Mon.--Skills practice in CCC computer lab.
    Wed.--Wednesday Folders sent home. Please check for important                          information. ( Check Student Planner  also.)  Book Buck Store.
    Thurs.--Mr. Unger, counselor
    Fri.--Mrs. Sauer (G&T) and Friday Fun as a reward for positive
         behavior and and work completion during the week.  Periodic
         mini- reports are sent home to parents.  Please sign and return to                    school with your child the next day.

Schedule
    8:55--Morning Activities: math and language mini-skill sheets. Homework
          and Student Planner check, announcements, and Morning Meeting.
    9:30--SFA Reading (ability grouping)
    11:00--Enrichment Specialists (computer, science, physical ed.)
    11:50--Lunch and Recess (or Homework Lunch if homework missing)
    12:20--Vocabulary
    12:35--Math
    1:50--Social Studies/Writing (ELL colaboration with Ms. Storhoff)
    2:40--Writing, Spelling, Cursive
    3:30--Student Planner, Clean-up, Dismissal
