First grade is a challenging and exciting year for the children.
The growth of first graders is tremendous!

During first grade the emphasis is on reading,
writing, and mathematics. Most of our day is
spent on academics.  On Fridays, we have friday
fun where children are rewarded for completed
class work and positive behavior choices.

Homework is sent homework Monday through
Thursday. It is very

important that parents make
the homework important.  It sends a valuable 
message to the children and lays the groundwork
for upcoming years.
